My paintings explore movement—towards a little more lightness of being. They ask how we learn to live with fear and loss without allowing them to define us.
Moving between contemplative landscapes and playful animal narratives, my work embraces the messiness and absurdity of being human. Humour and tenderness are not opposites but companions; both open up space to breathe, to reconnect, and to move through it all.
At the heart of my practice lies a simple question: Where do we feel safe enough to become ourselves and to be seen?
Whether in nature, in moments of play, in connection with others or in solitude, I am interested in the places that create a sense of belonging. Places that allow us to set aside performance and inhabit our lives more fully.
My paintings invite viewers to pause, to look closely, and perhaps to recognize a small part of themselves in the process.

Art to overcome grief
In addition to exhibiting and selling my own art, I work with crafting tailored pieces that help you process grief. My mom passed in 2024. She created a wealth of astonishingly beautiful oil on canvas paintings. Now painting is a way for me to honor her memory, find solace, and cope with the unknowns loss brings. Grief is not limited to losing someone, but can encompass losing something (a love or a friendship) that is dear and important in your life. The experience of loss shakes up our deep-rooted longing for certainty and control. It turns our world turned upside down and leaves us feeling overwhelmed. Loss comes with complex emotions such as anger, guilt, confusion, and sadness. While a piece of art cannot replace the support from family, friends, or a therapist, a unique artwork can help you remember and honor loved ones and the times you cherished together.
